So much to fit in.
Once again, I’m pleased to say, we have a packed Barrow Voice. So packed in fact that there wasn’t room to do justice to the ‘ Royal Baby BBQ Party’ held by the residents of Birch Avenue who, it seems, love an excuse to meet up and have fun. Glad it was such a success. Please let us know of others.
But articles that did make it range widely from a follow up to one that generated such interest in the summer edition ( the Lancaster Bomber crash) to the important changes that have taken place at Humphrey Perkins , stories of old walls and old cars, country stories of ducks and hens and sport in the form of fishing and cycling. These are in addition to the all important up-dates on BUSCA events and BRAG news.
Finally I’d like to thank John Nurse for the stunning photograph of the tree on the front cover. It was taken at the Westonbirt Arboretum in Gloucestershire. John, a keen photographer, provides many of the pictures of Barrow on the ‘Leicestershire Villages’ site and is invaluable to BV as he’s responsible for the website.
