Floods, French and Fine Art
As ever, we have a wide variety of articles in this edition and I’m really pleased to say we have a taster paragraph in French, leading to a longer account on the web, as I think it’s a frst. Unusual too is the prominence of art as two features showcase diferent artists’ work; Lydia Porter’s super painting of Tom Daly and the atmospheric painting of Quorn station by Chris Bates. Although our railway line hasn’t been washed away this winter, fooding is a risk, so study the maps from the environment agency and have sandbags to hand if you’re near the deep blue!
