Have you been gazing out of your window wondering if spring is here, been & gone, or if it’s yet to come? After, Gertrude and Henry we currently have storm Imogen causing mayhem – I wonder what letter of the alphabet we’ll have reached by the time you read this? I know lots of Open Gardeners will be desperately wishing all this rain would stop so they can make a start on their projects for 2016.
Anyway, enough about the weather!! Barrow Open Gardens is set for Saturday 25th & Sunday 26th of June this year and we will once again be donating all the proceeds to Rainbows Children’s Hospice. Last year a few of us were invited to their Rainbows Volunteers BBQ and seeing the amazing work they do was confirmation of how important our support is to them.
We would love to include some new village gardens for this coming event – small or large, expertly landscaped or rough round the edges!! It matters not – it’s not a competition and all are welcome.
For more information, visit the village web site
You can get an Application Form from the Village Library or by emailing email@example.com or firstname.lastname@example.org.
So, if you’ve got the garden (but not the T-shirt) now’s the time to come forth and join in with this great annual event!!
