Barrow Footpaths Group

We’ve been snipping and picking for just about a year now and hopefully we’re beginning to make an impact to the jitties and footpaths around the village.

Thanks to everyone who turns up for the tasks and for all of you who stop and chat with words of encouragement. It makes a real difference to us. We’ve even had tea/ coffee provided a couple of times which is always well received.

You can see reports about all of the completed Barrow Footpaths Group tasks on the village website as well as dates for upcoming tasks. Details of all future events can be found on posters in the Parish Council Offi ces and the library.

We’ve recently started a monthly weekend based Community Litter Picking event for those that can’t join us during the week. We’ve teamed up with the Soar Bridge Inn who will be providing tea/coffee and biscuits once we’ve fi nished. Everyone is welcome to join in. We have gloves, bags and litter pickers so just turn up at the designated starting point to help keep Barrow tidy.

If there’s an area that needs attention, whether it’s overgrown or full of litter, please report it to the Parish Council so they can let us know.
