Autumn 2025

 Our new County Councillor
 Library Crossing
A German's Love For English
Welcome to the autumn issue of Barrow Voice.

We have an article from Sonia Hänig, a Barrow Voice fan in Germany who writes that she loves to read about all the volunteering in Barrow. Well, we have even more. Our village thrives on the hard work of volunteers who are active in all kinds of ways.

The library feels like it has always been there. In a way, it has been, but without a host of volunteers it would have closed ten years ago. You can read more about celebrating ten years of Barrow Community Library.

We continue our look at the way volunteers help keep our lovely village looking lovely with their environmental and gardening work.

Importantly, Barrow Voice relies on a whole team of volunteers to get the magazine together, designed and printed and delivered. Read Sarolta Batki’s article about the journey Barrow Voice takes in order to be delivered to you and, in a related article, read about Peter Yates who has been delivering the magazine since it very first started.

Thank you, everyone, on behalf of all the village for all the great work that you volunteers have been doing over the years. Long may you continue!
