Said The Soar Bridge Team the day after a really splendid free Christmas lunch party for over 70 of Barrow’s elderly residents. There were a lot of laughs, fantastic music, delicious food, drink & even a visit from Santa and his adorable little Elf.

I chatted to Jenny, Rosaria, Val and Kevan all of whom were bowled over by the generosity of this new enterprise by the Soar Bridge team. “Everything was free, even the drinks!” “It was absolutely superb.” “Santa visited us, and we each got a lovely present.” “The staff were so lovely, and it was such a special event.” “We all give our heartfelt thanks”, they chimed in.

The Soar Bridge Team, in their turn, gave a massive thank you to their team members who donated their time on a dreary December afternoon to make something very special happen. The event also raised £200 in donations to the British Heart Foundation.

And now, everyone is agreed: “we can’t wait for next year!”
