The Moorings in Barrow upon Soar has truly become a hub of community, good food, and great times - especially as the festive season approaches. Led by Jemini Parmar and her father, Naresh Valand, this much-loved riverside pub continues to bring people together through a lively calendar of events, warm hospitality, and hearty, freshly prepared food.

The team at The Moorings has worked hard to make the venue a place for everyone - whether you’re joining friends for dinner, bringing the family for a special occasion, or taking part in one of their popular community events. From Open Mic Sundays that showcase incredible local talent, to Sip & Paint evenings where guests unleash their inner artist (the first session produced a herd of impressive Highland cows!), there’s always something happening by the river.

As Christmas approaches, The Moorings is set to sparkle with its Festive Menu launching from 28th November, running right through to Christmas Eve. Guests can enjoy delicious seasonal dishes alongside live entertainment every Friday and Saturday - from singers and DJs to themed nights, including an energetic 80s Party on Friday 12th December.

Families are in for a treat too, with Breakfast with Santa taking place on Sunday 7th and 21st December. Children can enjoy a breakfast cob and juice, meet Santa himself, and experience magical performances from Sing It Happy’s children’s choir, along with story time and festive songs to get everyone in the Christmas spirit.
