Those of you who access the Barrow Helping Hands Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/groups/348587689358693/?ref=share, will know that Graeme Fisher posted some information about the Book Shed outside the Petshop on Babington Road.

It is accessible 24 hours a day (so you know where to go if you can’t sleep!) and the books are there for you to borrow for free. Any empty spaces can be filled with your own book donation but once the shelves are filled, there is no further storage. It’s already used by many people so the book turnover is good. 

In bad weather, and at night, the doors may be closed by a simple latch which you can open (and close again, after use).
