Barrow Pre-School (based in the Methodist Church) recently received a donation of £14,000 from British Gypsum. This has been used to transform its play area into a sensory haven for children with special educational needs. There’s new equipment, crash mats and sensory items to ensure a safe and inclusive environment for all young learners.

Committee member Jane Melbourne described the donation as a “life line” allowing “all our children to have a positive pre-school experience”. Greg Bere, plant manager at British Gypsum’s Barrow site said he was delighted to hear about the positive impact their donation had had.
