Winter 2023

Village people are as busy as ever organising village events for this winter. Don’t miss all the Christmas festivities coming your way in December.

There’s the Christmas Tree Festival at Holy Trinity Church (30th November to 3rd December); our popular Christmas market and turning-on of the Christmas lights on Saturday 2nd;
Humphrey Perkins school is hosting a Christmas market and school talent show on the 7th and there will be a Festive Fayre on 9th and 10th at the Three Crowns. If you still have energy after all that, Charnwood Orchestra’s new year concert is on Saturday 13th January, 2024.

A lot has been happening in the village since the last issue of Barrow Voice, so we hope you enjoy reading about it all. Becky Hodkinson has, again, created some festive quizzes for you and your family to put your minds to when all the cooking, eating and clearing-up have been taken care of. If you’re feeling up to it, there’s an alternative quiz from Eric Ellingworth. In order to help local businesses, Barrow Voice has decided to leave the advertising costs at the 2023 rates – so there’s no increase for 2024. We hope you’ll consider advertising your business with us.

The team at Barrow Voice would like to wish you a happy Christmas and extend our good wishes for the new year of 2024 … whatever’s coming our way in the village, watch out for it in Barrow Voice!
