Welcome to spring 2022. Drama, social groups and community activities are all opening up and happening again. Welcome back to live murder (!) and panto. Jubilee celebrations are planned in Willow Park and you are invited to consider taking up sport: tennis or karate.
We feature activities at all of Barrow’s three churches demonstrating that whatever your faith or not, the churches still play an active part in the community. We consider a couple of alternatives for the provision of postal services for our community.
Please do take time to read the Barrow COP26 pages. We are challenging everyone this year – particularly those organising Jubilee celebrations – to think about the environment: ditch the single plastic cutlery, cups and plates and consider the carbon footprint of the food on offer.
We say goodbye to Brian Henman, who contributed so much to the village over the years, and who sadly died in January. Many people only ever met him formally, but others were lucky enough to experience his genuine kindness and wicked sense of humour. Brian will be missed by many.

1. Your letter is accompanied with your name and full address (we may need to contact you with a question) – you can ask for details to be withheld from print.
2. Statements made about any individual or organisation must be made with their permission.
3. Any opinion expressed is clearly identified as the opinion of the writer.
4. Any statement made is accompanied with evidence (this may not need to be printed, but the editorial team needs to know where the statement or fact originated).
5. Letters do not include comments which are deemed by our legal team to have the potential to be libellous. In this event, even part of the letter cannot be printed.
