Barrow Town Football Club Under 9 Girls brought home the Leicestershire and Rutland Green League shield at the beginning of May. “It was a very welldeserved victory for their hard work and commitment” said their coach, Georgina (Georgie) Cronin Clarke.

The girls all attend Hall Orchard Primary School in years 3 and 4. After the excitement of the matches and their success, there were some very fuzzy heads the next day!

The club is inclusive and diverse and is working well with the community. Football is fun!

“We are recruiting our next team this summer – that will be girls or mixed under 7s” said Georgie with great enthusiasm
