A PTFA is a group of volunteer parents, teachers and friends of the school who work together to enhance the children’s school experience by raising extra funds through a wide range of fun and creative initiatives, events, and much, much more.
Since it re-formed in November 2022 to September 2024 the PTFA has raised over £17,000 and funded projects worth over £11,000 including, but not limited to:
The PTFA has been very fortunate to have a good-sized committee in place who have been instrumental in making the last two years a great success and lots of fun.
The PTFA has organised a range of events to raise funds including discos; Rainbow Raffles; 'Elfridges’ Christmas stall at last year’s village lights switch-on; a chocolate tombola, Frozen Fridays and summer festivals.
The PTFA’s fundraising goals focus on the outdoors and wellbeing which really support the school values and benefit the whole school community now and in the future.
The PTFA has lots of fun events planned throughout the 2024/25 school year culminating in the Summer Festival on Saturday 28th June 2025. The Summer Festival feels far away as the days are short and cold but it’s never too early for us. We will be launching sponsorship options for local businesses to support the event to help the PTFA maximise funds raised…watch this space for details in the next issue.
If you’d like to get involved with the PTFA, please email ptfa@hall-orchard.leics.sch.uk – we’d love to have more people involved as there’s lots to do.
