The winner of the summer reading challenge prize draw was Oscar Hughes, photographed here with his elder sister Amelia Hughes. Oscar is seven and in year three at Hall Orchard Primary School. The prize draw took place at the library on Monday 16th September by our chairman, Keith Butler. Amelia also completed the summer reading challenge she is age nine and in year five at Hall Orchard Primary School.

Congratulations to Oscar we hope he enjoys spending his £20 book token at Waterstones. Thank you to all the children who took part in this year’s challenge: 115 children finished the challenge, our highest numbers to date!

A big thank you to all the library volunteers for making this year’s summer reading challenge a success. We look forward to next year's challenge.
