We are looking forward to seeing you at our fourth Trinity Festival, creating once again a platform for local talent to be enjoyed by everyone in our community.
The event runs over the weekend of 11th – 13th October and includes two concerts, with a quarter peal of bells ringing out from Holy Trinity Church tower before each concert starts. On Friday 11th at 7pm a young people’s concert will feature performers from Humphrey Perkins and Barrow-based Motion Dance Company, plus some solo instrumentalists. Tickets for adults will cost £5. Entry for 18s and under is free.
The theme for Saturday evening’s classical concert at 7:30pm will be ‘Europe meets America’, featuring the Trinity Festival String Group, plus renowned local pianist Jeremy Kimber, with other soloists to be announced. Tickets will be priced at £10 for adults. Entry for 18s and under will be free.
The style of both evening concerts will be very informal, with drinks from the bar and other refreshments for sale before and during the performances. To be sure of a seat, buy your ticket at Taylor’s Florist on Barrow High Street, or via Eventbrite. Remaining tickets will be available on the door.
The festival continues from 2pm – 4:30pm on the afternoon of Sunday 13th October with an Arts & Craft Fair. A number of artists will be displaying and selling their work There will be demonstrations of painting, spinning, face painting and various local crafts including wood-turned items, glass and hand sewn goods. We aim to showcase local talent where people use eco-friendly materials. There will be plenty of opportunity to buy from local crafters at a variety of stalls. Light musical entertainment will be played throughout the event. Refreshments and light snacks will be available for sale throughout the afternoon with entry free for everyone.
