Blooming Great Garden Walk and other Blooming Great Ideas

In the spirit of modern times, Barrow in Bloom’s Open Gardens has morphed into a programme of events with BUSCA, beginning with Barrow’s Blooming Great Walk during the third weekend of June. 

Lin Webb, chair of Barrow Open Gardens explained that rather than our usual hidden gardens, they are asking people to focus on what can be seen from the streets by blooming up their front gardens if they have them and/or displaying pots, planters, window boxes and hanging baskets if not. 

You can enjoy The Blooming Great Garden Walk over Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th June 2021.  A programme and map will be on sale from the local shops for a £1 donation to Rainbows. The programme comes with a voting slip for the ‘Barrow’s Loveliest Street’ competition and for the ’Best Pub Planter’.
