More abuse has been reported to police during lockdown.

In the UK, 2 women die each week due to abuse and 20 to 30 men each year.
Physical abuse is most visible but financial abuse is not uncommon among the vulnerable.

Emotional, psychological and mental abuse - the abuser wants the victim to be totally reliant on them, isolating them from family and friends.

Living Without Abuse is a domestic abuse and sexual violence charity that covers Leicestershire and Rutland; in the last year they helped 2,699 adults (women and men) and 2,228 children and young people. Incidents of domestic abuse have risen in  the last year during lockdown. We don’t want men, women and children in Barrow to suffer in silence; here are some the signs to listen out for:
