I arrived home one day and I saw a swan on the pavement. My first  thought was: “what are you doing far from the river?”

My second thought was: “I wonder if you are hurt?”. First we called the police and they could see that it was injured and contacted the RSPCA who came to collect it and take it to Kibworth.

I do hope it has recovered and been released back into the River Soar where it belongs. (I shall be looking out for him or her).
