The popular Trinity Festival will be back again, this autumn. Here is a taster of what you can expect so that you can put the dates into your diary now. Friday 9th – Sunday 11th October The bells of Holy Trinity Church will be ringing to summon you to the rich array of entertainment that will be available close to your home, beginning with Friday night’s 7pm Youth Concert when you can enjoy a large variety of performances by pupils from local schools with poems, dance and music from different genres and cultures. Tickets will cost £5 for adults - free for 18s and under. Saturday night’s Classical Concert at 7.30pm will feature the Trinity Festival Chamber Group who will begin by accompanying the Wolds Choir conducted by Richard Thomas in their performance of the Fauré Requiem. Next on the programme will be Vivaldi’s Autumn from the Four Seasons with soloist Clare Bhabra and finally Mozart’s Eine Kleine Nachtmusik. Tickets for both concerts will be on sale beforehand at Taylor’s Florist on Barrow High Street, online @Jeremy Bowman and on the door - £10 for adults and £5 for 18s and under. On Sunday afternoon from 2:00 to 4:30pm, all will be welcome at our Arts and Crafts Festival where you can enjoy a range of stalls and exhibitions by local talented artists. We look forward to welcoming regular contributors and new artists to this celebration of local talent. Throughout the afternoon, village musicians will entertain you with a variety of styles as you browse the stalls and exhibitions. Entry is free of charge. You will also be able to sign up for a taster session of bell ringing in the tower. Refreshments will be available at all events in the Trinity Rooms.
