The owners and staff of the Blacksmith’s Arms are basking in their recent success in a county-wide search for excellence in hospitality by Go Leicestershire. They were given a last-minute warning that they had been selected for consideration and then the judges arrived anonymously for a meal. They were invited to a grand presentation event on December 4th where they learnt that the Blacksmith’s Arms had won 1st prize in the Taste of England category of Special Occasion Dining.
Mark, the owner of the business, proudly showed me the framed certificate which is given an eye-catching position as customers first come into the restaurant. “It was a very good start to the Christmas Season” he mused. “And it gives us a target to keep these standards so high. I’m very grateful to my staff who made this possible”.
Barrow Voice wishes him well for 2025.
